John teaches in such a way that enables you to maintain HEALTHY singing and to be competitive in this field!
Working with John was invaluable in helping me prepare for auditions as well as helping me feel comfortable singing in general. As a dancer learning to sing, it can sometimes feel very foreign and strange to learn singing techniques.
But with John’s background in dance, he was able to make me feel very comfortable, as he was able to relate singing technique to dance technique, and bridged the formerly intimidating gap between the two.
I went to John Cavazos when my voice was on the brink of permanent damage. Not only did John give me a solid technique, but he also increased my belting and legit range significantly. I never considered myself to be a Soprano, but as a result of John’s coaching, I went on to play the role of Glinda in the National Tour of “Wicked.”
John’s coaching and techniques boosted my confidence as a singer and artist and thanks to this, I will be making my Broadway debut in the new Broadway musical, “The Addams Family” this spring.
I still warm up to John every day!
John is amazing! Since I’ve been seeing him, I’ve increased my range without straining my vocal cords and he teaches each student based on their own voice quality. I’ve recommended him to many of my co-workers and they LOVE him also!
John is a truly gifted individual. He is someone who knows the voice and how it works. John helped me to get back in shape for auditions and now I am in the first National Broadway touring company of “In the Heights.” Because of John’s technique, my voice has improved leaps and bounds.
He teaches you in a way that allows you to be confident and successful in this business.
John is great! He helped me find my voice again. He gave me the tools I needed to keep my voice in tip-top shape for the tour of Hairspray. I would recommend him to anyone who wants a future in any part of the music industry.
John is a fantastic voice teacher! After studying with him while performing in ‘Finding Nemo – The Musical’ at Disney World, I was able to take the techniques I learned with me to NYC and soon booked ‘GREASE’ on Broadway!
I highly recommend him to anyone who is very serious about their career.
I first came to John while working for Disney. I wanted to learn how to sing in a way so I wouldn’t hurt myself. Without John’s help, I don’t think I would have lasted very long. He helped me get rid of all my bad habits. He stretched my range and I went from thinking I was an alto to being a soprano. He introduced lots of great material that was right for me. He also gave me the courage I needed to make the step and move to NYC, where I’ve just finished the tour of “Mama Mia.” Thanks, John!
