What others are saying
When speaking of John Caleb Cavazos I think of someone with the total package for music and ministry gifting, anointing, technique and timeless style.
From Broadway, Opera, Pop, R&B, Gospel to husband, father and minister, John has consistently and unflaggingly demonstrated pursuit of purpose and a drive for excellence. His creative vision has full scope for the needs of the creative artist.
I first worked with John on Broadway and on tour in the 25th Anniversary Production of MY FAIR LADY with Rex Harrison when we were young singer/actor/dancers. From the first days of rehearsal the entire company was impressed with his exceptional vocal talents — he was cast as the first tenor soloist in the “Loverly Quartet” and consistently sang with exceptional clarity for the two years we were in that production.
John is one of the most creative people I know. A skilled performer himself, he understands the process firsthand, and is now able to encourage others as he calls forth their gifts and directs them in the way they should go. His artistry touches upon the eternal.
I wholeheartedly endorse his vocal studio. In my experience, his creative pursuits come with a high standard of excellence. Those who are blessed to have John as their teacher will clearly have the “higher purpose” in view as they embark upon the creative journey.
When I had the opportunity to work briefly with John, I found him to be professional, anointed and talented…..What fun!
John Cavazos is a great instructor, mentor and example. As a vocalist he is a multi-talented, sought-after performer.
His vast experience of stage performance gives him a profound understanding of what it takes to excel. He brings the expertise of success and fully understands and embraces the finest of communication skills.
John Cavazos is a teacher who has done it!
I met John Cavazos as an 18 year old when he stepped into my rehearsal hall with the most glorious tenor voice I had ever heard. As all talented people do, he needed a mentor and a coach, and I had the honor of being one of his.
Today, John Cavazos is the complete one stop performer who has become the complete one stop coach. What do I mean? John is a skilled artist, vocalist, actor, dancer, and musician packaged in a person with enormous integrity and passion.
I first performed with John Cavazos on the stage at Carnegie Hall in the opera, “Tancredi” with the great Marilyn Horne.
I’ve know John for over 25 years and it’s always a pleasure to share the stage with him; whether it’s Musical Theatre, classical or pop, he can do it all!
I first worked with John (Caleb) Cavazos in 1982 in the Arena Stage production of “Animal Crackers.” Although John was a trained singer and dancer, he had a challenge with our big tap number. He jokingly teased me about my own, “I don’t tap,” line in ACL. I told him that if he was willing to stay after rehearsal each night for one hour, I would help him. For two weeks we worked on that number. When the show opened, he did it, perfectly!
John’s work ethic is without question. In addition, he is a talented and consumate professional. I am proud to endorse his vocal studio and proud to call him a friend.
John Cavazos is a true professional, held in high regard!
John has been involved in several of our live events and recording sessions. His participation has been invaluable to us and he is a joy to work with.
